As I was wandering around at a loose end this Saturday I thought a trip to the White Rose Centre would be useful as I need another work suit. For those not from ‘The North’ its one of the very first shopping Malls we got in the Leeds area and at the time was quite a revelation to us having only seen these Malls in the US previously. So it has lots of shops including a Supermarket and large Department Store and everything in-between. The one thing is doesn’t have are CHARGERS, incredible as they have spaces for the disabled, motorbikes and even mum & child but absolutely nothing for EV’s !. So if you want to spend money shopping then you need to visit Meadowhall near Sheffield or The Trafford Centre on the outskirts of Manchester, as this place just does not cater for EV’s. I spoke to one of the car park people who said they might get chargers when the Cinema is built, they might get me shopping there about the same time. Eventually I managed to pick up a suit at the McArthur Glen Shopping Centre near York on Sunday so White Rose £0, McArthur Glen £305.00, I decided to vote with my tyres and go where we EV drivers are catered for, they do a nice spot of lunch there as well !.
