Found, maybe never Lost !

Having our usual visit to York for some therapeutic shopping this Sunday we decided to find the Monks Cross Chargers and see if they really were hidden in a pay-to-visit car park as I had been led to believe. After trailing around lots of car parks we visited the John Lewis store and I asked the customer services people if they had chargers. They called the car park management Company who told me the chargers are right next to the Management Suite, we had passed them on the way into the JL car park !. So had a quick eye-ball and as the photo shows yes they are available and no they are not locked up in a barrier fed car park but there for all to use.

So if you are coming up the A1 you can now fast charge on the ecotricity DC charger (Nissan / Renault) at the Wetherby services then come around to Monks Cross John Lewis / Mark & Spencer and plug up to the Type 2 or 13a connections. If you are still in the mood for shopping then head a few more minutes around on the A64 to McArther Glen at the junction with the A19 and again plug up to the type 2 or 13a outlets there. Both are operated by CYC and currently free to use. Heading south you have the Woolley edge Moto Services or if you are heading towards Manchester there’s the two ecotricity fast DC chargers and type 2 chargers at IKEA Birstall, basically we are getting great coverage, if only someone somewhere would come up with a definitive map showing where everything is.
