Vauhall Ampera

We are now looking to change one of our ICE cars to a hybrid and are looking for idea’s.  We checked out the BMW i3 but the figures just do not stack up.  I’m not paying £500+ a month for a four seater just because it has the BMW propeller symbol on the bonnet. I need something for the distance work that I do in my day job working in IT. I often have to travel 100+ miles to get to a job so right now the only economical option seems to be the deal Pentagon in Sheffield are doing on the Ampera at just £147.00 per month on a personal finance plan.

So this coming Saturday we are off to sunny Sheffield to stare at this car and go over the figures.  If anyone reading this has any better idea’s or personal experience with this car or Pentagon I would be really pleased to hear your comments.  I really want to stick with the electric car bit so something calling itself a hybrid that does under 80 miles per charge isn’t really a hybrid its a ‘me-too’ I don’t want to start using petrol again as I have gotten out of the habit of filling up every other day … I like the extra money and the extra holidays it buys !  RSVP…..
