Some interesting replies

Manchester seem to be really on the ball regarding EV’s I had a couple of queries and they came straight back to me regarding RFID cards and map locations, couldn’t have been more helpful.

We have also received a personal welcome letter from Dale Vince the founder of Ecotricity plus a free RFID card so we can use their network of fast chargers at all of the Welcome Break motorway services plus their charger at the foot of their windmill at Green Park, M4 Junction 11 although it may be some time before we venture that far afield !.

Its incredible to think that Dale’s power generation is purely from the elements, from wind and sun, we really need more folk like this in the World

One question though, how come the free card for free electricity has arrived the very next day and the two paid for cards may take up to a week or two to appear ? seems a bit wrong-way-around, surely the free stuff takes ages to arrive and the paid for kit arrives next day … maybe its just me !.  I’m off to see if I can link to Dale on Twitter and LinkedIn now…….

I run a telephone & computer supply and maintenance business, mainly VoIP, traditional phone systems & Cloud office systems. www.portelav.co.uk. I've been with the Company since 1981 so pre-mobiles pre-PC's. We are very keen on reducing our own and other businesses carbon output so we all work from home. The EV is just the next logical step towards being carbon neutral both in business and personally. Your kids will be thanking us for leaving a bit of the Planet for them once we push off !
